About the Park
Alice Townley’s red brick path leads through playground, seating, and lawn areas; a surprising variety of trees inhabit the park, including ash, katsura, cherry, and oak. A quick exploration will reveal a small but lovely mosaic inset in the lawn.
History
The park was named in January 1991 for former Park Commissioner Alice Townley who was a prominent Vancouverite and the first woman to serve on the Park Board from 1929-1935.
