The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (RSBC 1996) allows public institutions to disclose personal information for historical purposes if “the information is about someone who has been dead for 20 or more years”.

This names of people who do not meet this criteria have been substituted with a unique cemetery identification number.
