Ray Natraoro is a member of the Squamish First Nation. He was born in Vancouver in 1973 and now lives in North Vancouver. His passion for carving was inspired by the artwork of his grandfather and great grandfathers, and by the work of Rick Harry. Ray specializes in carving canoes, house posts, spindle whorls, masks, rattles, paddles and totem poles. Through his artwork, Ray expresses the history of the Squamish people.
