John Hooper

Hooper spent his youth in boarding school and in pre-war China. In 1944 he was a captain in the British army in India. He studied in England with Jacob Epstein and then moved to South Africa and later to New Brunswick. His whimsical figurative sculptures are made of polychromed wood.
